The Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (AMU) is a modern art school, consisting of three faculties - Film Faculty, Music Faculty and Theatre Faculty. It is home to artistic personalities with a broad cultural perspective and an intense desire to pursue the opportunity to integrate knowledge and skill with artistic experiment. The school has strong connections abroad and actively encourages placements at various European universities.

The Department of Alternative and Puppet Theater is a section of AMU that focuses on experimental, postdramatic, and object theater. A large number of this work is inspired or is made in dialogue with documentary material, found spaces, communities and social issues.

For this reason, we are hoping to strengthen and formulate dramaturgical strategies for making work in and with public space; and ways of doing performative research in public space.
