aici. melancolia (here. melancholy) is the recollection of the sensations and memories of a 21st-century city; a city that begins to communicate directly with the few people left; a dystopic memory stick with the help of which we will discover at a certain point how the cities of this century, in this corner of the world, were built, lived in, and condemned; a city as whole; a city continually modified by history and society; an object in the midst of chaos, which guards the hope of regeneration
This is the first production of Teatrul Tinetului in the project UNLOCK THE CITY!, financed through the Creative Europe 2021–2027 programme, developed by an international network of theatres, academies, and universities, which creates a context for reflection on the way in which the performing arts, in association with scholarly research, can contribute to a rethinking of the landscape of post-pandemic cities.
